Congratulations! U.S. Marshal District of Hawaii, Gervin Miyamoto (Roosevelt HS grad), in being honored as this year’s 2012 keynote speaker for the 2012 Department of Justice Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Observance Program. This year’s program theme, “Striving for Excellence in Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion”, provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of Asians and Pacific Islanders to the Department and to the Nation’s academic, cultural and economic institutions.
The program is scheduled for Monday 21 May, at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (4p Hawaii time) in The Great Hall of the Robert F. Kennedy Main Justice Building. Attorney General Holder; Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York; Marisa Chun, Deputy Associate Attorney General; and Samuel Go, President of the DOJ Pan Asia Employee Group, will also provide remarks. 200 DOJ employees and dept. VIPs will attend, with broadcast of the program via the Justice Television Network. Kudos to Hawaii’s U.S. Marshal Miyamoto!
